Week 11 of 52 – Ice Ice Baby – This beautiful little lady was born during a snowstorm on Superbowl Sunday. I met her this past weekend and had so much fun shooting her and her proud big sister.
Week 10 of 52 – Rock n’ Roll Y’all – I had the pleasure of shooting the talented RJ & The Del Guapo’s at their performance at Zella bar this past week. If you ever have the chance to see these talented guys live, it’s a rockin’ show! Here are some of my favorite shots:
Week 9 of 52 – So many photo’s, so little time! I literally had my camera attached to my face most of last week. I did a promotional shoot with my beautiful friend Katie for her Salon, Lavender Park – seriously, ladies and gents – if you need killer hair – look no further. I had a shoot with the always gorgeous bombshell Kristina as well as an executive shoot with my devastatingly handsome husband, looking like 007 – sorry ladies he’s all mine 🙂 Danilo Executive Shoot Lavender Park Salon – Promo Shoot Kristina Headshots Shoot
Week 8 of 52 – I had the pleasure of shooting this gorgeous couple this weekend. These two were so much fun and we got some gorgeous shots around the city.
Week 7 of 52 – From my fine city of Chicago to the state capital of Springfield – this girls been wandering throughout Illinois and here are some of my favorite shots this week.
One of my best friends is going through something extremely difficult right now. I think about her and her family constantly as I go about my everyday life with everyday tasks that seem inconsequential by comparison. This friend was by my side when I was going through the hardest times in my life and I feel helpless that I am so far away and cannot be there with her. So today I am sending all of my love from Chicago. This virtual hug is for you.
Week 6 of 52 – I enjoy taking photos of humans. There is only one human who is always readily available to pose for me…that would be myself. This week I flipped the camera angle and experimented with some self-portraits (the new “selfie).
Week 5 of 52 – I’m a little under the weather and thought it was a good day to go to the Chicago Conservatory. This place is a-MA-zing, but especially in the winter. You step in and feel like you have been whisked away to a tropical rain forest. The smells, the humidity and the flowers are all a welcome escape from winter. I assumed this week’s shoot would be quite boring, I mean come ‘on…plants? But, surprisingly, I was in awe at the colors and textures I was able to capture. I love this place and think I got some good shots. My Mom, who knows more about flowers… Keep Reading
Week 4 of 52 – As Chicago turns into Chiberia, photo opps are becoming increasingly sparse. When I don’t have models or the cojones to go out in subzero temps, I improvise. The usual suspects are these four stuffed Muppets and my kitty, Java. When you’re trying to learn depth of field or white balance they are quite handy to have around. The Muppets are great subjects: posable, always smiling…..Java on the other hand would rather rub his little furry face on the camera or hump a blanket instead of being my model – bless his little, horny heart.
Week 3 of 52 – Happy New Year! As we rang in 2015 my friend, Bridget, asked if I could take some belated Christmas photos of her and her adorable family. Bridget’s husband, Jeff, had this idea of wrapping himself in a giant box and having Bridget and their son, Noah, open the package and then have disappointed faces as they talk about returning him with the caption “We hope you got everything you wanted for Christmas.”This was my first “action series” shoot and it was a ton of fun! I love this idea and how these two seem to bleed sarcasm and want nothing to do with a “normal” Holiday card. I might… Keep Reading
